Joseph R. Gaietto, 77, of Paris, TN and formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

On July 6, 1932 in Tiffin, he was born to Louis and Irma (Roos) Gaietto. He married Darlene Hammer on February 4, 1956.

Survivors include his wife Darlene of 53 years, in Paris, TN; 5 daughters, Joyce (Robert) Boney of Albuquerque, NM; Rosemary (Donald) Miller of Waddy, KY; Marcia (John) Underbakke of Stafford, VA; Patricia Gaietto of Jackson, TN; DeJane (Keith) Shellhart of Murfreesboro, TN; 6 sons, Jerome (Lisa) Gaietto of Hudson, OH; Phillip (Paola) Gaietto of Detroit, MI; Arthur Gaietto of Tiffin, OH; Kevin (Marlene) Gaietto of Decatur, AL; Mitchell (Alice) Gaietto of Silkeborg, Denmark; Edward (Gisa) Gaietto of Stuttgart, Germany; 3 brothers, Thomas Gaietto of Bowling Green, KY; Louis Gaietto of Tiffin, OH; Lawrance Gaietto of Lima, OH; 2 sisters, Margaret Schleter of Tiffin, OH; Sister Mary Angela Gaietto, O.S.U. of Toledo, OH; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 2 brothers, Vincent and Eugene, and 2 sisters, Irma Rose Hill and Sister Mercici "Angeline".

Joseph was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was very active in Henry County Rite to Life and retired from General Electric and Tecumseh Products as a Manufacturing Engineer.

A Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 12:00 PM in Paris, TN. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tiffin with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.
