Joseph A. "Joe" Simons, 76, of Tiffin, passed away Friday afternoon, January 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On March 1, 1938 in Elkton, KY; he was born to George and Sylvia (Roe) Simons. He married Beverley A. Wolf on September 1, 1956.

Survivors include his wife, Bev of 58 years, daughters, Terri (Tim) Everhart and Tami (Doug) Rhoad both of Tiffin; Trudi Simons of Columbus; Traci Cunningham of Columbus; grandchildren, Abby (Christian) Rhoad of Harrisburg, PA; Dustin Rhoad of Tiffin; David Cunningham of Columbus; William Cunningham of Columbus; Mike (Victoria) Everhart of Tiffin; Brent (Erin) Everhart of Spokane, WA; Kirk Everhart of Tiffin; great grandchildren, Jacob and Paige Everhart and a brother, Howard Simons of Sugarcreek, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Marge Kipps Boehler and Georgia Heil.

Joe was a long time Member, Elder, and Volunteer at First Presbyterian Church. He worked for Columbia Gas and Transmission from 1963-1978 and opened Tiffin Pool Center on Miami Street in 1972 serving Tiffin and the surrounding areas. In 1990, he sold the business to his daughter and son in law. Joe enjoyed staying busy and working on rental properties. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend to everyone.

Private services were held for family and friends. Burial will be at a later date in Fremont.
