Joyce M. Crum, 94, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 27, 2015, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.
She was born on March 9, 1921, in Tiffin, Ohio to Jay and Florence K. (Knepper) Seigley. On April 8, 1945, in Trinity United Church of Christ, she married John E. Crum and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2001.
Survivors include her two sons, Russell J. Crum and Dennis E. (Joanne) Crum, both of Tiffin; two daughters, Jayne E. Whitesel of Bartow, FL and Jill M. Ingram of Stow; daughter-in-law, Sandra Crum of Tiffin; brother, Benjamin (Cathy) Seigley of Fridley, MN; sister, Betty Watson of Fostoria; nine grandchildren, Kevin Fatzinger, Jonathan Crum, Jennifer Shively, Brandy Miller, Josh Crum, Becky Osterwalder, Mackenzie Adelman, Alyssa Ingram and Hanna Ingram; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronald J. Crum in 2014 and Douglas Crum in 1993; son-in-law, Larry Whitesel in 2014; and brother, William M. Seigley;
Joyce graduated in 1939 from Tiffin Columbian High School, was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Bascom and worked at Ohio Bell for over 25 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Ohio Federation of Farm Women's Club, Hopewell Farm Women's Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed bowling, playing in card clubs, traveling, train rides and cruises.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Tress Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
