Obituary

Judith M. Brickner, 74, died in the hope of Jesus, surrounded by her family at home on Sunday afternoon, January 10, 2016.

Judy was born October 10, 1941 in her family home in Bascom to Francis S. and Thelma (Sherer) Brickner. She married Eugene Brickner, Jr. on March 30, 1963.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene of 52 years; six children, Heidi Brickner of Tiffin, Eugene (Gena) Brickner, III of Tiffin, Dodi (Robert) Capehart of Fostoria, Elizabeth (Stewart) Behm of Tiffin, Michael (Tonya) Brickner of Tiffin, and Francis Sean Brickner of Tiffin; two brothers, Robert Brickner of Tiffin and Michael (Warna) Brickner of Kentucky; five sisters, Susan Brickner of Michigan, Barbara Aldrich of Findlay, Linda (William) Steinberger and Rose (John) Lonsway, both of Fremont and Patricia Myers of Findlay; 16 grandchildren who were the treasures of her life, Brent Brickner, Nicholas Kroh, Jeffrey Wright, Sarah Wright, Chris Capehart, Samantha Brickner, Judy Capehart, Dakota Patterson, Michael Wright, Lucas Brickner, Mark Capehart, Mary Capehart, Eric Capehart, Michaela Brickner, William Brickner, and Zachary Brickner; and two great grandchildren, Auden Brickner and Liam Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Brickner; two sisters, Mary Lou Brickner and infant sister, Anna Marie Brickner; and grandson, Robert Capehart.

Judy graduated in 1959 from Tiffin Calvert High School, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired in 2012 after 11 years as manager from the Angelus Book and Gift Store. She loved her children and grandchildren and loved having them around her as much as possible. Judy was an artist and enjoyed writing poems and short stories. Judy and Gene were active in their Christian life holding weekly prayer meetings in their home for the past 40 years. She was involved in evangelist movements such as Teens Encounter Christ, Cureillo Christ Renews His Parish, and Charismatic Renewal to name a few. Judy was loved by many and will be missed by many.

Her Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
