Judith "Judy" L. Thacker, 67 of Tiffin, died Saturday evening, January 12, 2008 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

On May 21, 1940, she was born to Clarence and Violet (Lowry) Firestone. She married Gene Hoover and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Weber of Tiffin; sister, Shirley (Edward) Nusbaum of Tiffin; 2 grandchildren, Alyssa Weber of Tiffin; Sgt. Keith Weber of Mannheim, Germany; and 2 great grandchildren, Dylan and Noah Weber of Mannheim, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gaylord Firestone, sisters, Marilyn Routzahn and Karen Routzahn.

Judy had been a resident of "Our Place" for many years and most recently she resided at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center since 2006.

A Graveside service will be at a later date at Fairmont Cemetery.
