Judith L. "Judy" Schmidt, 72, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 25, 2015 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

On October 11, 1942 in St. Paul, MN, she was born to Richard and Louise (Christianson) Johnson. She married Jerome C. "Jerry" Schmidt on January 30, 1982 and he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Mark and Matthew of Tennessee; Judy of California; a brother, Richard Johnson of California and two grandchildren.

Her parents and her dogs, Pooch and Tippy, preceded her in death.

Judy attended Mass at St. Francis Chapel and began her career in food service and a waiter for many years. She sold cars for Toyota and later was a service writer for Chrysler. Judy also was trained as a Massage Therapist and worked at the exclusive resort to the stars, Maryland Farm Racquet and Country Club in Brentwood, TN. She met Jerry in Nashville and they moved to Tiffin in 2005. Although her life was short, she made many friends along the way.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Convent Cemetery.

Friends may visit and share stories on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at St. Francis Home Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Convent in her memory.
