Our beautiful daughter and sister Karla Sue Siegle, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday December 18, 2022. Although Karla was sick since she was 16, her death at this time was unexpected. She became increasingly ill on November 4, but she was hoping for an answer to her current illness. That answer came in the form of the Lord taking her to heaven on Sunday, the day of resurrection.

Karla was born December 11, 1970 to Karl and Margie (Morter) Siegle. She is survived by her mother Margie in New Riegel. She is also survived by her sisters, Dr. Carol (Jeff) McDannell, Cheryl Siegle, and Barbara (Frank) Letterly, all of Tiffin; and her niece Alyssa (Connor Stocker) McDannell of Tiffin. She is also survived by her beloved coonhound Ozzy.

Karla is preceded in death by her father, Karl Siegle; paternal grandparents, Karl and Louise Siegle, and maternal grandparents, David and Florence Morter.

Karla was a 1989 graduate of Mohawk High School, where she was class valedictorian. She graduated from Heidelberg University in 1993 where she double majored in history and biology. She was employed by the Seneca County Health Department and the Wyandot County Health Department until she was unable to work due to her chronic illnesses, including CFIDS/ME.

Karla loved dogs, goats, and animals of every kind. In her younger years she was the first to have goats for 4-H at the Seneca County Fair, which is now a large department at the fair. She also loved to travel and traveled with her sister Cheryl to some of her favorite places: San Francisco/Yosemite, Aruba, Fiji, Hawaii, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

Karla was also a member of the Melmore United Methodist church. In later years she was unable to attend, but her faith remained steadfast and grew in depth, largely due to her suffering. She a prayer warrior and wrestled with the questions of why she had to struggle with ill health. Through it all, she persisted and developed an even stronger faith in Jesus Christ. Karla would want everyone to know if you believe in Jesus Christ you can receive the joys of heaven and join her there.

Visitation for Karla will be from 10-11:30 A.M. on Thursday December 22, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Her funeral service will be at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home conducted by her sister, Pastor Barb Letterly. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
