Katherine M. Taylor, 82, of Tiffin, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo.

On November 25, 1925, she was born in Tiffin to Carl R. and Nellie V. (McQueen) Werner. She married Grant C. Taylor on February 1, 1946 and they later divorced.

Survivors include 4 sons, Stanley (Sharon) Taylor of Newport, NC, Michael (Barbara) Taylor of Midlothian, VA, Carl (Teresa) Taylor of Memphis, TN, Craig Taylor of Tiffin, a daughter, Kathy Taylor of Sunbury, a brother, Carl Werner, a sister, Vivian Werner, both of Tiffin, 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and ex-husband, is a son, Grant C. Taylor, who died during the Vietnam Conflict, two sisters Joan Roberts and Carleen Bevil.

Katherine was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a faithful member of Hopewell Church of God. She worked for the Department of Navy as a civilian, a clerk at the License Bureau and was the manager of Helburn Meadow Gardens.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Hopewell Church of God, 3542 W. Co. Road 48, Tiffin, with Pastor Terry Steinhauer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Wednesday May 7, 2008 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, or one hour prior to the service, Thursday, at the church.

Memorial contributions can be made to Amvets Post 48, American Cancer Society or Hopewell Church of God.
