Kathryn J. Bowers, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on February 27, 1934, in Martel, Ohio to George and Edna (Bodey) Hessey.

Survivors include her two sons, Steve (Janice) Tschanen of Tiffin and George (Deborah) Tschanen of Shelby; brother, Henry (Joy) Hessey of Bucyrus; 5 grandchildren, Matt Tschanen, Melissa (fiancAC., Ken Null) Tschanen, Chris (Jane) Tschanen, Shi (Garrett Moore) Tschanen, and Michael Tschanen; 2 Great Grandchildren, Rheanna and Mataya; and 1 expected great grandchild in May.

Preceding her in death were her parents; 14 brothers and sisters; and 1 great grandchild, London.

Kathryn graduated in 1952 from Upper Sandusky High School worked as a secretary for Heidelberg College, Continental Hydraulic Hose in Upper Sandusky and at Rahrig Tree Company in Forest, Ohio. She was a member of the Warpole Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #366 in Upper Sandusky and the 20th Century Mothers Club. Kathryn resided in Florida for 6 years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or service.
