Kathryn L. Towne, 61, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, May 21, 2012 at Barberton Summa Hospital.

She was born on April 13, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Anthony R. and Julia E. (McIntosh) Adelitzo. On September 21, 1991, she married Robert Towne.

Survivors include her mother, Julia; husband, Robert; two daughters, Marsha (Bob) Payne of Akron, Ohio and Julia (David) Horner of Fredericksburg, PA; brother, Michael A. (Ilse) Adelitzo of Duclon, Florida; and 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony.

Kathryn graduated from Almont High School in Michigan and attended Mansfield Business College. She worked at Klais and Co. for 15 years. She enjoyed working in her garden, bowling, arts and crafts, puzzles and word searches. She loved spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 10-12:00 noon on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
