Keith H. Pierce, 47, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, October 2, 2014 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
On October 30, 1966 in Fremont, OH; Keith was born to Roy H. and Nancy L. (Binkley) Pierce. He married Sandra Schindler on August 21, 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy of 22 years, a daughter, Megan Pierce and two sons, Cole and Carson Pierce all of Tiffin; his mother, Nancy Pierce of Tiffin; a sister, Kimberly (Mike) Nye of Tiffin; a grandson, Tucker Hetzel of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Pierce in 2006 and an infant brother.
Keith was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and graduated from Bettsville High School in 1985, the University of Toledo, and Terra Community College. He worked for Hobrath Design in Tiffin for 10 years and Norton Mfg. in Fostoria for 10 years and was currently at National Machinery as a Tooling Engineer for the past 5 years. Keith was an avid The Ohio State University and Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed mushroom and arrowhead hunting and hiking. At the age of 18, he started working with race teams. In 1990, his father, Roy, bought the 01 Race Team with Art Ball as the driver. After Roy passed away, Keith took over the team and they just finished their 25th year. Keith was a family man, great dad, loved watching his son play football and spoiling his grandson, Tucker.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin City Schools Pay to Participate or a charity of the donor's choice.
