Kenneth J. Hoover, 62, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly Monday March 3, 2014 in Tunica, Mississippi.


On July 4, 1951 in Tiffin, he was born to Gilbert and Anna (Windau) Hoover and they preceded him in death.


Survivors include a sister, Patricia (Richard) Treft of Tiffin; two brothers, Douglas Hoover of Republic; Gregory (Sandra) Hoover of Tiffin; four nephews, Tony and Andy Hoover, Seth Hoover, and Brian (Debra) Treft; 2 great nephews, Reiyce and Seth Hoover and two great nieces, Cecelia Hoover and Hannah Treft.


Kenneth was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1969 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. He was the owner of Hoover's Jewelry and Clock Repair on Nelson Street for over 30 years and enjoyed building lighthouses and selling them at area flea markets. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, visiting casinos and bowling. Kenneth was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge 846 and Sons of the American Legion in New Riegel. He was a friend to all and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.


His Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.


Visitation will be private for the family.


Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
