Obituary

Laco Wilson, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening August 17, 2012 at Ruffing Family Care Center in Tiffin,

On July 24, 1927 in Copen, WV; he was born to Worthy and Macel (Utt) Wilson. He married Mary J. Lang on August 29, 1953.

Survivors include three sons; Steve (Karen) Wilson and Rick (Amy) Wilson both of Tiffin and Ron (Cindy) Wilson of Ellicottville, New York; a sister, Pauline Waldeck of WV; six grandchildren, Luke Wilson, Cassie Booth, Amy Wilson, Nicole Potts, Ben Wilson, Dan Wilson and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary in 2010 and a brother, Don Wilson.

Laco was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, graduated from Burnsville High School in West Virginia and was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge 846. He was a truck driver for Matlack for many years, retiring in 1989 and continued driving school bus for Tiffin City Schools for 10 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and traveling. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945-1948.

His funeral service will be Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the United Veteran's Council.

Friends may visit on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11 AM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Boy Scouts of America or Community Hospice Care.
