Laron L. Baker, 83, of New Riegel, a devoted husband, loving father and wonderful grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 22, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, to Ralph Baker and Mary Jo Lewis.

Laron was the loving husband to Faye Baker for 57 years; devoted father to Robert (Mary) Baker and Jeff Baker; grandchildren, Alyssa (Curtis) Bieber, Ashley (Bailey) Baker, Courtney (Andrew) Brickner and Matthew (Ryann) Holsinger; and great grandchildren, Baker, Ari, Kinsley, Brett, Emma and Hattie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin sister, Sharon Fredrick.

Laron worked as a meat processor at Riegle Meats for 40 years.  He was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel.  His favorite past time was playing a competitive game of 31 at the holidays with his family, fishing and just tinkering at the shop.

A small family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
