Larry E. Deitrick, 82, of Maumee and formerly of Findlay, passed away Friday morning September 30, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital.
On November 29, 1939, in Findlay he was born to Wilfred and Oletha (Semler) Deitrick. He married Phyllis Swope on August 13, 1977, and she survives in Maumee.
Other survivors include their children, Jim Swope of Toledo; Shelly (Augie) Stacklin of Fremont, sister, Marty Challen of AZ; grandchildren, Rachel, Kelly, Amber, and Bryan and great grandchildren, Raelyn, Landon, Serenity, Dannielle, Christopher, Allison, Angela, Ivan, and Ellie; sister-in-law, Sister Rozanne Swope, OSF and many step siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley Sleek and Rosemary Smith and step siblings.
Larry attended Hopewell-Loudon High School and worked as a machinist for AFC-Holcroft in Wixom, MI for over 30 years, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed boating, fishing, playing cards, trips to the casino's and having coffee with his friends. Larry didn't own a Harley, but he dressed the part riding his scooter everywhere with the music turned up.
His Memorial Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
