Obituary

LaVern G. "Bud" Robenalt, 88, of Tiffin, died Saturday morning, February 7, 2009 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

He was born October 2, 1920 to Solomon and Catherine (Borer) Robenalt.

Bud is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The last of nine children, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Wade, George, Vinton, and S. James, and 4 sisters, Catherine Robenalt, Lucille Robenalt, Mary Koenig, and Jane Brickner.

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946 and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a Life Member of VFW Post 2858 in Tiffin. He worked for H and S Paving, Crabill Construction, and was an avid sports fan, supporting the Cleveland Indians and Notre Dame Football.

Graveside services and burial will be March 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at ST. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Father Gary Walters officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.

There will be no visitation.
