LaVerne Irene Lyman, 90, of Tiffin, died at 3:23
a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2011, at St. Francis
Home.
On April 27, 1920 in Tiffin, she was born to Russell
L. and Mary W. (Schwartz) Lyman.
Survivors include a sister, Juanita F. Collier of
Tiffin; a grandson, Adam L. Gibson of Tiffin;
10 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces
and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a
daughter, Mary Ann Gibson; two brothers,
Everett W. Lyman and Howard R. Lyman;
and two sisters, Evelyn M. Lyman and
Mildred L. Brown.
A lifetime Tiffin resident, LaVerne worked
at Tiffin Glass, Webster Mfg., American
Standard, and retired from General Electric
of Tiffin in 1982 after 35 years of service.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday,
February 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 am
with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.
A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 25, 2011
from 5-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory,
236 S. Washington St.
A Wake service will be at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home
or Community Hospice Care.
