Leona E. (Leiter) Cramer, age 90, formerly of 2386 E. Co. Rd. #36, died in Decatur, Illinois at the Lincoln Rehabilitation Center on February 16, 2014.

She was born in Greensprings, Oh to Oakford and Luella (Ware) Leiter on October 26, 1923 and graduated from Ross High School in Fremont, OH in 1942. She married Robert A. Cramer on August 26, 1944 in Brady, TX and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2003.


Surviving are daughters, Ms. Bonnie Kay (Cramer) Owens of Centerville, OH and Mrs. Patricia Cramer-Wilson (Garth) of Decatur, IL; one granddaughter, Mrs. Frank (Laura Joanne Owens) Lucente of Ludlow Falls, OH; and three great grandchildren, Paul, Joshua and Natalie Lucente complete the family. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Catherine (Leiter) Tewalt of Orlando, FL and Ms. Bonnie (Leiter) Jennings of Columbus, OH.


Also preceding her in death are a son, James Robert Cramer in 1969; granddaughter Nicole Anne Owens in 1972; and four brothers, Waldo, William, Louis and Kenneth.

Leona was formerly employed at Lasalles, Kroger and the School of Opportunity where she retired in 1987. Mrs. Cramer was an active member and past elder of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of Lydia Circle. She volunteered for the Red Cross and was co-coordinator for the Fish Pantry in Tiffin.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Katie Treadway officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, the Alzheimer's Association or the Safe Haven Hospice of Lincoln, Illinois.
