Leona M. Kummerer, 93, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening January 5, 2010, at Elmwood at the Shawhan.

She was born December 18, 1917, in Tiffin, to Harry and Leona (Roller) Schetter. She married Cletus Kummerer April 15, 1941, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, David J. (Norma) Kummerer and Thomas J. (Janet Way) Kummerer both of Tiffin; four daughters, Diane M. (John A.) Beaverson of Bowling Green; Barbara M. (Charlie) Harvey of Norton, VA: Jane A. (Dan) Bush of Tiffin; Martha J. (Charles) Gibson of Woodland Hills, CA; eleven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is her husband of 59 years, Cletus, on October 4, 2000; and a grandson, Jeff Metz.

Leona was a graduate of Columbian High School and a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God. She worked at General Electric for 15 years, as a winder, retiring in 1979. She enjoyed crocheting, rose and flower gardening.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with Rev. Rex King officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family 6-8 PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
