Mrs. Linda Louise Gray, 68, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, July 11, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital, Toledo following a short illness.
Linda was born on February 25, 1948 in Tiffin, Ohio. She graduated from Calvert High School in 1966 and attended Tiffin University, graduating with an associate's degree in business and science in 2004.
Throughout the years, she worked as a factory laborer, a production scheduler, and had several secretarial jobs in a finance office, a law office and at Tiffin Developmental Center. Linda also worked at The Betty Jane Center for many years, which she loved, volunteering many hours for various projects. She then worked in the Academic Affairs Department at Tiffin University until she retired.
Linda enjoyed spending time with all her friends and family, especially her three grandchildren. She was an enthusiastic quilter, donating quilts to various non-profit groups and the animal shelter. She loved to bake cakes, cookies and pies, which the family all appreciated. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards in several card clubs as well as board games with her family.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard Gray of Tiffin; sons, Chad Gray of Tiffin, Matthew (Kimberly) Gray of Tiffin and Ryan (Elizabeth Gyuras) Gray of Toledo; grandson, Garret Gray and two granddaughters, Myla and Addyson Gray, all of Tiffin.
Linda is also survived by her siblings; brother, Louis (Mary) Smith of Sycamore; sister, Ladora (Jim) Kin of Fort Myers, Florida; brother, Duane "Whitey" (Sandy) Smith of Tiffin; and sister, Ladonna (John) Bright of Fremont; many adored nieces and nephews; and loyal canine companion, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlow and Lucille (Hoover) Smith; brother, Gene Smith; and nephew, Todd Warnement.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Humane Society of Seneca County or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
