Lloyd 'Shorty' Doran, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, November 1, 2010 at his home.

He was born August 26, 1927, in Bloomville, to Clifford W. Sr. and Grace L. (Snay) Doran. He married June Mason April 14, 1945.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, June; a brother, Richard (Doris) Doran of West Jefferson; two sisters, Betty (Firmin) Holt of Oregon, and Margie Detterman of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Cliff Doran; and a sister, Evelyn Benner.

Shorty proudly served as a US Marine from 1950-1952. He worked at American Standard until he served his country then returned to American Standard. He was a member of AmVets Post 48, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 402, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping and playing softball.

His Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November, 5, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with his nephew, Pastor Rodney Doran officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the United Veteran's Council.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory.
