Lois A. Shobe, 91 of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2008 at Independence House in Fostoria.

On March 8, 1917 in Seluvia, PA she was born to Elton Guy and Grace Ann (Hann) Barton. She married James W. Shobe on April 25, 1942 in Willard.

Survivors include a son James (Joan) Shobe Jr. of Tiffin; a daughter, Patricia (Robert) Hepperly of Findlay, 5 grandchildren, Heather, Todd, James, Kristine, Robert, and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother, George Barton and sisters, Mildred Snyder and Betty Cox.

Lois was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a 1935 graduate of Willard High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Luckoff's and Uhlman's Department stores in Tiffin, enjoyed crafts, flowers, and spending time with her friends at Allen Eiry Senior Center where she was a part of the Pin's and Needles.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Seneca Memory Gardens.

A private visitation was held for the family.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home is assisting the family.
