Loretta C. Leis, 98, of Tiffin, died Sunday evening, January 17, 2010, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

On June 11, 1911, she was born in Miller City, to Christopher and Mary (Kerner) Morman. On April 20, 1937, she married Herbert Leis in Monroeville and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1982.

Survivors include four sons, Harry Leis of Bellevue, Donald Leis of Huron, Jerry (Jeanne) Leis, and Paul (Nancy) Leis; a daughter, Rita (Joseph) Stacklin, all of Tiffin, a sister, Mildred Elmlinger of Willard; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Herbert, are three brothers, Hubert, Leo and Sylvester Morman; and two sisters, Alice Hay and Mary Recupero.

Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a great mom who loved her grandkids. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and canning.


Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, January 22, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Bellevue.

Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 7:30 PM.
