Louis J. Horvath, Jr., 66, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born on July 12, 1948 in Trenton, N.J., to Louis J. and Ellen (Kramer) Horvath.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan Horvath of Columbus; two brothers, Frank Horvath of Philadelphia, PA and Dan Horvath of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Eric Horvath Jr. and Isabella Grace Horvath.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Eric Horvath.
Louis retired after 20 years from American Standard in Trenton, N.J. then moved to Tiffin over 15 years ago. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on August 5, 1970. Louis enjoyed spending time with his brother Dan and grandchildren, fishing and played the guitar where he recorded his own album.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10-10:45 on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or St. Mary Catholic Church.
