Lucille Rose 'Lucy' Tieman, 85, of Marblehead, formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday morning, October 16, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

On March 26, 1923, she was born in Tiffin to Pasquala and Carmella (Palumba) Spino. October 15, 1940, she married Harold E. Tieman.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Sam (Denise) Tieman, a daughter, Judith Ann Tieman both of Marblehead, a brother, Joe Spino of Churchill, TN, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Harold, are a son, Harold Patrick Tieman, five brothers, Leo, Tony, Sam, Carmi and John Spino, four sisters, Flori Hoerig, Mary Salpietro, Mary McGrady, an infant, Philomena Spino, and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Tieman.

Lucy was a graduate of Calvert High School and remained very close to her classmates and friends. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she volunteered weekly to help with the bulletins. Lucy worked at the Sears until the store closed, bowled for many years at the K of C and enjoyed gardening. Lucy taught physical education and was a board member for the Betty Jane Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Monday, October 20, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family for the extended care of Lucy's daughter, Judy.
