Obituary

Lynda A. Smith, 82, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 2, 2022 at her home.

She was born on June 13, 1940, in Sacramento, CA to Benjamin and Iris (Sorensen) Samson.  On August 19, 1975, she married Gary Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Smith of Tiffin; sons, Ron (Tami) Smith of Summerville, South Carolina and Berlin "J.R." (Angie) King of Tiffin; daughter, Kim Birch of Tiffin; brother, Tim Price of Ashtabula; sister, Marty Price of Jefferson, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Garrett Ostrander and Benjamin Ostrander; and an infant brother, Larry Samson.

Lynda graduated in 1958 from Sacramento High School and in 1985 from Tiffin University with an associate degree in Business Management.  She was a foster parent to many, a cashier at Wal-Mart for over six years, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was an usher and enjoyed Bible Study.  Lynda was a Notre Dame fan and enjoyed crocheting.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice Care or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
