Obituary

Madeline G. Heck, 96, formerly of Kiwanis Manor and Clinton Mobile Park, passed away Friday morning, April 12, 2013 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on January 13, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio, to Richard and Lillian T. (Fate) Bushkuhl. On August 10, 1940, she married Richard W. Heck and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1988.

Survivors include her son, Jim (fiancAC., Gale Zoeller) of Tiffin; daughter, Sharon (Dave) Hedden, of Tiffin; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Chris, Eric, Brian and Jay; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Heck; 2 brothers, Bob and Dick Bushkuhl.

Madeline graduated in 1934 from Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. In 1938, she was the first girl cashier in Tiffin, working at A & P Grocery. She also worked at LaSalle's, the State Hospital, Kroger, the cafeteria at St. Mary Catholic School and volunteered at St. Francis Home. Madeline was a past member of the Tiffin Moose #846 and of the Tiffin Emblem Club #62 and she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at St. Francis Home Chapel.
