Marcella G. Mosier, 96, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday afternoon, October 13, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
She was born on September 9, 1918, in Pleasant City, Ohio, to John and Mary Ellen (McCoy) Willis. On September 2, 1944, in the parsonage at St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Robert Mosier.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Kathleen) Mosier of Bel Air, MD; 1 granddaughter, Sarah Mosier; 3 nephews, Pat (Crystal) Willis of Pleasant City, Jack (Terrie) Willis of Marietta, GA and Jack (Sharon) Hoffmann of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brothers, James and John Willis; and nephew, Tom Willis.
Marcella graduated in 1936 from Pleasant City High School and in 1939 from Ohio University. She was a teacher for Old Fort Schools for 16 years and was a first grade teacher for Bettsville Schools for 13 years and Pleasant City Schools for 3 years; retiring in 1976. Marcella was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society and the Seneca County Retired Teacher's Association.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to S.C.A.T. or Calvert Catholic Schools.
