Margaret Jean "Peg" Haman, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon November 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On June 29, 1933 in Painesville, OH, she was born to David L. and Martha W. (Cunningham) Jennings. She married John F. Haman on November 21, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Survivors include her daughters, Theresa (Rick) Smith of Tiffin; Andrea (Jack) Spradlein of New Riegel; Joanne (John) Roberts of Hereford, AZ; Karla Haman of Morana, AZ; Laura (David) Stone of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, David Jennings of Madison, OH; sisters, Carol (Kenneth) Jarvis of Madison, OH; and Pat (Gordon) Lucas of Concord, OH; five grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and 8 step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant son, John Patrick Haman.

Peg was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, Right to Life and worked at the library at St. Mary School. Before raising her family, she worked at Western Union and Gold Crown Restaurant. She volunteered as a room mother, Brownie Troop Leader, for the Red Cross and organizing and setting up card tournaments. She was a member of the Lady Democratic Party, St. John's Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a talented singer, performing at weddings and loved all types of music.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Visitation will be private for the family.
