Margaret E. Mowery, 81, of Tiffin, died Thursday evening, June 25, 2009, at her home.

March 23, 1928, she was born in Tiffin to Earl and Vesta (Creeger) Carrick. April 16, 1949, she married Howard J. Mowery.

Survivors include a son, Jay (Jackie Cheatham) Mowery of Bonita Springs, FL, a daughter, Jan Murphy of Tiffin, two brothers, Kenneth (Joel) Carrick and David (Cathy) Carrick, both of Mississippi, two granddaughters, Shelly (Brad) Warnement and Cori (Justin Hoepf) Murphy, both of Tiffin, five great-grandchildren, Bradlee, Devyn, Reed, Callum and Blaine.

Preceding her in death along with parents and husband, Howard, on December 30, 1987, is a son-in-law, Larry Murphy.

Margaret was a graduate of Bettsville High School and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She loved working in her yard, gardening, exercising at YMCA, being with family and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Moose Aux. 846 and a former member of Elks BPOE 94 Emblem Club. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling the world, living in Germany for 3 years.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 29, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with Chaplain Tress Hodkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
