Margaret C. "Peg" Warnement, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, January 19, 2014 at her home.


She was born on February 17, 1930, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Victor and Norine (Albus) Wurm. On September 9, 1950, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Thomas H. Warnement and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2000.


Survivors include her 2 sons, Kevin (Diane Orwig) Warnement of Tiffin and Brad (Shelly) Warnement of Republic; 3 daughters, Deborah Hoerig, Diana Warnement and Carol (Mike) Dell, all of Tiffin; brother, Michael Wurm of Lowell, Mass; 4 sisters, Kathleen Klopp of Sun City West, AZ; Dorothy Carlson of Port Clinton; Nancy Warnement of Tiffin; Janet Altwies of Albuquerque, NM; 11 grandchildren, Phillip (Jennifer Diaz) Hoerig, Ann (Mike) Boes, Nate (Becky) Hoerig, Landon Warnement, Nicholas Warnement, Ryan Dell, Patrick Dell, Bradlee Warnement, Devyn Warnement, Reed Warnement, Callum Warnement, 7 great grandchildren, Lauren, Leah, Eden, Alex, Spencer, Owen, and Von.


Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Thomas H. Warnement, II; and son-in-law, Larry Hoerig.


Peg was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 1948 graduate of Tiffin Calvert and bowled for the Ladies Knights of Columbus. She worked on the family farm her entire life, Kuebler Shoes and with her daughter at Hoperoy's Hallmark Shoppe and with her son at Hasselbach Air Comfort. Peg traveled to Arizona to visit her siblings, area trips with her children and Allen Eiry Senior Center. She was a Seneca County 4-H Advisor for over 25 years, made the BEST baked Beans ever and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and her Euchre Club. Peg continued supporting Calvert Catholic Schools and was very active with her high school classmates. For the last year and a half, Peg was able to stay at home with the help of family and her caregivers.


Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery next to her husband. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.


Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 3:30 P.M.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools, FACT, or Stein Hospice.
