Obituary

Marie T. Kuhn, 87, of New Riegel, formerly of Tiffin, died Monday, December 8, 2008, in her home.

November 8, 1921, she was born in Cincinnati, to Charles and Helen (Fricke) Saibeni. September 9, 1944, she married Albert H. 'Pete' Kuhn in St. Lawrence Church, Cincinnati.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol (Martin) Hammer, Nancy (Harold) Courtney, both of New Riegel, Linda LaFontaine of Tampa, FL, six grandchildren, Peter LaFontaine, Robert (Mary) LaFontaine, Amy (Steve) Dryfuse, Denise Seifert, Christine Courtney and Jennifer (Craig) Gillig, fifteen great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ben, Katleyn, Andrew, Brandon, Robbie, Nichole, Brittany, Brianna, Brooklyn, Brandon, Haley, Jewelianne, Nolan, and Christian, and two grandpuppies, Duee and Molly.

Preceding her in death along with her parents, and husband, Pete, on February 28, 1982, are two sisters, Marcella Roche and Helen Glassmeyer, and a niece, Donna Leigh.

Marie, a homemaker, loved being with the family and friends, and her favorite hobby was embroidery. She graduated from Seton High School in Cincinnati and was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel. During her lifetime, she was a Red Cross Volunteer, belonged to the Legion of Mary and Companions of the Precious Blood. As a certified catechist, she taught CCD at St. Mary's, Calvert and the former St. Boniface in New Riegel. She was a Eucharistic Minister and lector at St. Mary Church as well as St. Boniface. She was a member of St. Mary's Folk Choir and involved in the Cursillio Movement at St. Mary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 13, 2008, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with Rev. Randy Giesige officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 3-8 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.

Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice Care, All Saints Parish or St. Joseph Campus Library.
