Marie was born March 16, 1920, in Tiffin, to Edward and Loretta (Steyer) Strausbaugh. She married Herman S. Zoeller in St. Joseph Catholic Church on May 21, 1938, with the Rev. May officiating. Herman preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.
Survivors include 6 children, Herman "Sonny" (Donna) Zoeller of Tiffin, Marge (Ed) Creeger, of Houston Texas, Jerry (Diann) Zoeller, of Tiffin, Dorothy (Rick) Osterwalder, of Tiffin, Judy (Danny) Miller, of Tiffin, and Tim (Lori) Zoeller of Tiffin; 21 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding Marie in death were her parents; 2 sons, Tom "Perch" and infant son, Billy; and 3 brothers, Robert, Richard and James.
Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a good friend to Arlene Reinhart and Iris Abbott. She was a homemaker and had a love for the farm and working with her husband. Her family came first in her life and a playhouse was constructed just for family get togethers. Marie created a legacy her entire family will cherish. Her family was blessed to have her as a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother; God created a perfect match. Her children and family were her world. Her whit and charm will be missed. She was our queen bee.
Marie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society for years and recently a member of St. Patrick Church in Bascom.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
