Marilyn Jean Bilger, 81, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, July 17, 2012, at Parkview Care Center, Fremont.
She was born on January 2, 1931, in Fremont, Ohio, to Clarence H. and Mary R. (Murrey) Lowe. On December 25, 1949, in Tiffin, Ohio, she married Howard Bilger and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2001.
Survivors include her son, Alan H. (Marsha) Bilger of Tiffin, Ohio; daughter, Brenda (Bill) Robbins, of Fremont, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kristyn (Curt) Bishop, Matthew (Suzanne) Bilger and Brian (Chelsea Carley) Bilger; and two great grandchildren, Casey Daniel and Logan Bilger.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Marilyn graduated in 1949 from Tiffin Columbian High School. She was a medical assistant at Fostoria and Fremont Hospitals and helped her husband farm in the Republic area for years. She was a member of Eastern Star Tiffin Chapter 189 for 50 years. She started the Marilyn Bilger Orchestra; playing the organ and accordion at many local events. She enjoyed oil painting and camping.
A memorial service will be Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Walker Horne officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
