Marilyn J. Bugner, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday evening, May 18, 2014 at her home.


She was born on June 28, 1934, in Bascom, Ohio, to Ellis Delmer and Helen Oleta (Hoover) Sperow. On November 21, 1953, she married Franklin D. Bugner.


Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Frank of Tiffin; sister, Nadine Omlor of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Harold A. Coppus, Jr. of Fostoria; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.


Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Roger Sperow; sister, Lois Aileen Coppus; brother-in-law, James Omlor and her four Dalmations; Big D, Little D, 3-D , and DD.


Marilyn graduated from Hopewell Loudon High School in 1952 and retired as an executive secretary from Tiffin State Hospital in 1974. She enjoyed farming with her husband and snowmobiling for many years throughout the United States, showing and boarding horses, showing cars and dressing in period clothing from the past. She was a member of the Tiffin Eagles and the former treasure for the Lady Eagles for many years. Marilyn and her husband were best friends who enjoyed doing everything together.


Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in Sandridge Cemetery.


Friends may visit with the family from 2-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 1:30 P.M.
