Marilyn Y. Crouse, 77, formerly of 266 S. Sandusky St., passed away Friday morning, June 27, 2014 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
On July 29, 1936 in Seneca County, she was born to Clifford and Susie (Angelbeck) Crouse. She married Arthur Zender of Fostoria on November 24, 1954 and they later divorced.
Survivors include her Godson, Adam Caldwell of Tiffin; cousins, Cynthia (Keith) Fuller of Tiffin; Gregory Jacob of Port Orange, FL; Nelene (Lanny) Keckler of Tiffin; Rebecca Kiem of Florida; friends, Jeanette Mizen, Frieda Beckley and Cheryl Caldwell all of Tiffin; and a very dear aunt, Virginia Jacob of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, cousins, Andrew Houck and William Houck, Jr.
Marilyn received her GED in 1996 and attended Tiffin University. She was a cook at the Virgina Lee Nursing Home, worked at Grablers and retired from New Riegel Foods as a meat Trimmer. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed crocheting, and painting with watercolors.
Her Mass will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Community Hospice Care.
