July 2, 1931 – December 15, 2015
Marion F. "Bud" Moon, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born on July 2, 1931, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Victor L. and Jessie E. (Massie) Moon. On April 20, 1951 in Ebenezer United Methodist Church, he married Emma Louise Runion.
Survivors include his wife, Emma of Tiffin; son, David J. (Deb) Moon of Tiffin; daughters, Marianne (Rev Steven) Jumper of Cameron, WV and Teresa Lynn (Richard) Hinebaugh of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Jason Moon, Rachel Walland and Dr. Jonah Moon; four great grandchildren, Hunter Walland, Jake Moon, Josh Moon and Adelyn Moon; and one great grandson on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Victor L. Moon and Jimmie D. Moon; and sister, Elsie L. Gongorlea.
Marion graduated from Fostoria High School, was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean War from November 8, 1951 to October 16, 1953. He retired as a Sales Room Clerk from National Machinery after 40 plus years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. Marion was an usher for many years at church and enjoyed fishing, word games, puzzles, yard work, his granddogs, and helping his son do odd jobs around the
house.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Seneca Memory Gardens with Pastor Jeff Lanzer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
