Marjorie E. Goshe, 84, of Tiffin, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 23, 2010, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.
On July 31, 1925, she was born in Berwick, to the late Elnora (Scherger) and Alfred Werling. On October 20, 1945, she married Edward N. Goshe in St. Wendelin Church in Fostoria and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Edward N. Goshe Jr., and daughter-in-law, Judith (Cooke) Goshe, both of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Sonya Marie (Matthew) Goshe-McCarthy of Irvine, CA; Edward (Starleen) Goshe III, of Rangely, CO; three great-grandchildren, Nicole Goshe, Kiley Goshe, and Seth Nicholas Goshe; a beloved aunt, Cora Reinhart of Bascom, sister-in-law, Hazel Wise of Tiffin, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved lab, Suzie.
Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Before she was married, she worked as a secretary at Pressed Steel from 1943-1945. She was an equal partner to her husband and son in their dairy and farm operation until the day she passed away. Marjorie always had a smile and was optimistic and cheerful. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her pies, cookies, cakes and fritters will never be duplicated. She enjoyed sewing, writing, gardening, attending auctions, driving tractor and loved dogs. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Following her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Community Hospice Care or her very special concern, the Seneca County Humane Society.
