Marjorie Louise Koerper, 95, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 21, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living of Fremont.
She was born on August 15, 1927, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Blacque C. and Pearl L. (Shuff) Hoffman. On November 24, 1949, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, she married Bernard "Bud" Koerper and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1991.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Carol) Koerper of Pittsburgh and Robert (Cathy) Koerper of Tiffin, daughters, Jane (Larry) Cook of Tiffin and Teresa (Dale) Kramer of Findlay; sister, Alice Lonsway of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild on the way.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Koerper; brothers, Eugene Hoffman and Paul Hoffman; sisters, Carol Kuhlman and Mary Ann Eberly; and grandson, Benjamin Koerper.
Marjorie was a 1945 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School. She was a therapeutic program worker at Tiffin Developmental Center for 20 years and retired in 1992. She was an active and devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was a member of the St. Mary Rosary Altar Society, was on the funeral luncheon committee,volunteered her time at St. Francis Home, where she was also a member of the St. Francis Auxiliary. Marjorie was a social butterfly, enjoyed meeting people, was compassionate toward others and loved spending time with her family. Marjorie was a fantastic cook, baker, candymaker and her dinner table was always open. She played the drums and was an accomplished violinist, playing in high school and area bands, enjoyed traveling and history.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:30- 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools or to a charity of the donor's choice.
