Obituary

Marlene Kay Comer, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Friday afternoon, November 1, 2013 at The Toledo Hospital.

Born on October 4, 1947 in Tiffin, OH to Cecil and Leota (Cooley) Agerter, she married Terry Comer February 14, 1970 and he survives. They celebrated over 43 years together.

Also surviving is a son, Chris (Vickie) Comer and a daughter, Cassie (Anthonie Hernandez) Smith both of Tiffin; two sisters, Nancy (Charles) Perry and Karen (Don) Hager both of Tiffin; and four grandchildren, Chase Comer, Brady, Quinton, and Cameren Smith; and her dog, Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard A. Agerter.

Marlene was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God and graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1966. For years she sold Avon around the area and volunteered in the cafeteria at Washington Elementary School while her grandchildren were students. Marlene enjoyed sports and was a Tiger Woods, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and an Ohio State Buckeye fan. She loved her grandchildren and attended all of their sporting events over the years. Early on she also bowled in Tiffin for years.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St, Tiffin 419-447-2424.

There will be no service or burial at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
