Martha Emma Kirchner, 89, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday morning, May 8, 2016 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

She was born on June 17, 1926, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Anthony and Clara (Hoepf) Borer. On August 6, 1949, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married John Kirchner and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, John (Kay) Kirchner of Austin, TX, Michael (Sue) Kirchner of Strongsville and James (Faye) Kirchner of Mentor; two daughters, Barbara Eborg of Tiffin and Jane (Dennis) Stacy of Old Fort; son-in-law, Jim Bine of Perrysburg; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Bine; granddaughter, Jessica Eborg; daughter-in-law, Debra Kirchner; five sisters, Agnes Mathias, Anna Bentz, Cecilia Borer, Catherine Carp and Isabella Steinmetz.

Martha graduated in 1944 from Tiffin Calvert High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She volunteered at the library at St. Joseph Catholic School for over 30 years and was a poll worker for the Seneca County Board of Elections. Martha and her husband, John, traveled to all 50 states and she enjoyed bowling in her early years, crocheting and loved going on family vacations.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 1:30 P.M.
