Martha Lois (Hammersmith) Neeley, 81, of Tiffin, passed away, Saturday morning, July 6, 2013 at her home.

She was born on May 22, 1932, in Erie County, to August C. and Catherine (Biebricher) Hammersmith. On March 25, 1951, she married Scott Neeley and he passed away on September 14, 2006.

Survivors include her son, Scott A. Neeley of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Christine (James) Sewell of Castle Rock, CO and Linda Neeley of Tiffin; grandchildren, Chris and Ben Omlor; Stefan, Seth, Kyrie and Elijah Neeley; Katy and Nikki Sewell; and Anne and Emily Eichhorn ; and 1 brother, Clarence Hammersmith of Bellevue.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Kevin Neeley in 1994; 2 brothers, Leonard and Clifford; and 1 grandchild, Sean V. Eichhorn in 1992.

Martha graduated in 1950 from Bellevue High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church where she volunteered for funeral dinners. In 2000, she retired from Tiffin Developmental Center as a Therapeutic Program Worker after 30 years. She was a member of the Women of Moose, Kiwanis Travel Club and the Public Employees Retirees, Inc. retirement group. Martha enjoyed traveling, eating out with friends and spending time with her friends and family.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Ken Gillikin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort, Ohio.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 and from 1-2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at First Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church or the Allen Eiry Center.
