Mary Lou Ranker, 93, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
She was born on July 3, 1927, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Louis and Rachel (Hood) Binder. On June 12, 1948, she married Robert "Bob" Ranker and he passed away on May 12, 2009.
Survivors include he daughter, Beth (late John) Colatruglio of Tiffin; sons, Pat Ranker of Santa Fe, NM, Pete Ranker of Winston-Salem, NC, Bill (Fran) Ranker of Laurel, MD and Andy Ranker of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren; Brian (Jessica) Colatruglio and Nathan (Jamie) Colatruglio, both of Tiffin, Peter (Rebekah) Ranker, Robert (Crissy) Ranker and Phillip Ranker, all of Mocksville, NC, Michael Ranker and Johnathon Ranker, both of Laurel, MD and Beth (Sam) Skjonsberg of Bainbridge Island, WA; eleven great grandchildren, Maria and Jack Colatruglio; Joseph, Madelyn and William Colatruglio; Logan Skjonsberg; Lucas, Patrick and Gavin Ranker and Mattie and Aly Ranker; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, George (Alice) Binder; sister, Jeannine (Wayne) Graham; and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Rebecca Colatruglio.
Mary Lou graduated in 1945 from Tiffin Columbian High School and retired as an Operator from Ohio Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed collecting angels that she had everywhere, flower gardening, hosting family Holiday dinners, card club (many years ago), traveling to 49 states with her husband, Bob, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play and coach football, dance recitals and school programs and all their activities. Family was very important to Mary Lou.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Willows for the care they gave Mary Lou.
A private Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
