Mary Ann Bird, 70, of Tiffin, went to be with the Lord and her family on Wednesday evening, July 9, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

She was born on June 27, 1944, in Tiffin, Ohio, to John Jasper Lewes and Marjorie A. (Smith) Estep. She married Jim Haudenshild and they later divorced. On March 9, 1970, she married Ronald E. Bird.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald, of Tiffin; 3 sons, John E. Haudenshild of Wellington, Jamie R. (Diane) Haudenshild of Tiffin and Ronald A. (Mark Lance) Bird of Fremont; 2 daughters, Lydia M. (J.R.) Weber of Fort Pierce and Sheri M. (Richard) Bryant of Antioch, TN; 2 brothers, David L. (Mary Therese) Estep and Michael C. (Joanna) Estep, both of Tiffin; 2 sisters, Jane A. (Ronald) Jones and Joan M. Estep, both of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Michael J. Estep.

Mary attended Owens Community College and was a member of The Journey. She worked at Jolly's, L & K, the Advertiser-Tribune and retired from RCA after 44 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #846 and enjoyed walking, dancing, crocheting and loved socializing and dining out. Mary enjoyed being a housewife and loved her cats.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Richard Haner officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery. After the burial, the family would like to invite family and friends to a potluck style luncheon at The Journey, 2531 S. SR 100, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-2:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
