Mary Elizabeth Hall, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.


She was born on July 17, 1928, in Clinton Township, to Albert J. and Agnes (Welter) Bistner. On September 10, 1949, she married Wayne Hall and he preceded her in death in 1989.


Survivors include 2 sons, Mike (Bonita) Hall of Washington Court House, OH and Randy (Roseann) Hall of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Julia Nye of Tiffin and Jeanne (Rocky) Hall Fowler of Bascom; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.


Also preceding her in death were her parents; 2 infant twin brothers; and 1 infant brother.


Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Tiffin Calvert High School. She was employed by Seneca County and Standard Oil for over 25 years and was co-owner of M and W Services with her husband for over 20 years. She was a Seneca County 4-H advisor and was a member of T-Squares with her husband. Mary was a collector who enjoyed staying busy, going to garage sales and flea markets, gardening, and was a skilled finish carpenter and a life-long farmer.


Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.


Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 8:00 P.M.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Vincent De Paul Society.
