Mary Alice Hostler, 92, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at The Willows at Tiffin.
She was born on August 23, 1927, in Sandusky County, Ohio, to Rolla H. and Mildred. On June 22, 1947, she married Lowell D. Hostler and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2005.
Survivors include her daughters, Charity (Ron) Ames of Sycamore and Hope Lynn Hostler Weininger; grandchildren, Nichole, Aimee, Shannon, Jessica and Molly; great grandchildren, twins Tyler and Trever, Cameron, Blaec, Brendan, Isla Mary and Ben; and friend/caregiver, Abigail Sterling.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
Mary graduated from Clyde High School in 1945 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She volunteered at Mercy Hospital, the Children's Center, local nursing homes in Northwest Ohio and at the Veterans Home working with Pet Therapy. Mary was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed traveling and loved her rescue dogs, Buddy and Charlie.
Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Katie Treadway officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Heartland Hospice or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
