Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Kistler, 102, formerly of Seneca House and Kiwanis Manor, died Monday evening, May 5, 2008, at St. Francis Nursing Home.

On March 13, 1906, she was born in Tiffin to William Valentine and Evaline (Kerschner) Wolf. On December 13, 1926, she married Russell C. Kistler.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Loxie) Kistler of Bethel, Timothy Kistler of Bowling Green, two daughters, Marcia Gwinn of Springfield Diane (Albert) Latona of Tiffin, a step-daughter, Bonnie Jean Weiland of Sandusky, 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Russell, in 1982, is a son, Eugene Kistler, two brothers, Albert and William J. Wolf, a sister, Edith Wappner and a grandson, Albert Latona.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a past member of the Rosary Altar Society. She liked to knit, crochet, needlepoint and play Euchre and Bingo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery

Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 7:45 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice Care, St. Francis Home or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
