Obituary

Mary Alice Lambright, 100, died September 19, 2015 at Harbour Assisted Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a short illness.

She was born April 4, 1915, in Tiffin, Ohio to Clarence and Rose (Homan) Rumschlag. She married John (Jack) Lambright on August 6, 1940 at St. Mary's Church in Tiffin, Ohio. He died Nov 20, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth (Don) Fox of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Jane (Dave) Peter of Fort Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren: Donna, Barbara, Joseph and Jerome Fox, Amy (Glenn) Stockert, Lauri (Michael) Hutchens, David R. (Heather) Peter and Ann (James) Wooton; and ten great grandchildren: William, Alexander and Nathan Stockert, Jack and Risa Hutchens, Ella and Zak Peter, and Daniel, Gavin and Charlotte Wooton.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband, and infant twin grandsons.

Mary Alice lived in Tiffin, Ohio for almost 100 years. She worked at J.C.Penney, followed by Deinzer, Pfeiffer and Company and then Jack Payne accounting. Her husband and Mary Alice also operated a grocery store on the corner of Clay and Wentz St. in Tiffin, Ohio, for 15 years and then the Point Drive-In at Carey, Ohio for 25 years before retiring.

Mary Alice was an avid golfer and continued to watch golf on TV to the end. She enjoyed playing euchre with everyone and playing Uno with her great-grandchildren. Mary Alice loved dessert and took great joy in her family who always sought her bright smile. Her keen eye for fashion was apparent throughout her long life. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 3-7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Hoffman-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.
