Mary Ann Lonsway, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, November 16, 2014 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on April 15, 1931, in Tiffin, to Louis and Hilda (Ziegman) Weinandy. She married Thomas Wade Lonsway on June 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2006.

Survivors include her two daughters, Joan E. Martin and Teresa S. (Dan) Hartman both of Tiffin; son, Thomas A. (Anne) Lonsway of Rome, NY; daughter-in-law, Judy A. Lonsway, of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph L. Lonsway; infant son, Johnny Lonsway; son-in-law, Nevin E. B. Martin in 2004; daughter-in-law, Marci Lonsway and brother, Louis "Paul" Weinandy.

Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1949. After high school, she worked at Ohio Bell then at Lasalle Department Store before retiring from Sears. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, playing cards, volunteering for Mobile Meals with her husband and wintering on Marco Island in Florida for many years. Mary also loved dogs, especially her dog, Penny.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. The Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 3:30 P.M.
