Mary Ley Murray, 76, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday evening, January 23, 2017 at her home.

She was born on May 27, 1940, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Dr. Edmund F. and Veronica (Grillot) Ley. She married Lynn Victor Murray and they later divorced.

Survivors include her sons, Edmund Lynn Murray of Tiffin and Damian Francis Murray of Columbus; daughter, Mary Ann Roof of Lima; sisters, Ann Griffis of Tiffin and Julie Essick of San Rafael, CA; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary graduated in 1958 from Tiffin Calvert High School and worked for Tiffin City Schools for 25 years as the first assistant, then administrator of food services. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, attending concerts, going to Cedar Point, having cocktails and traveling to state parks and local attractions with her friends. Family was very important to Mary and she loved raising her children.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with her son Edmund Murray leading the Service.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made the indigent fund at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
